World Fuel Program Rules – Participating Locations

INTRODUCTION

This following general terms and conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”) set forth the terms and conditions that govern Participating Locations’ (as defined below) participation in the World Fuel Rewards Program (the “Program”) of World Fuel Services, Inc. (“World Fuel”). These General Terms and Conditions shall constitute a binding agreement between World Fuel and Participating Locations, and shall govern all matters relating to the Program. If there is a conflict between these General Terms and Conditions and any additional, different or conflicting terms or conditions contained in any other document related to the Program, these General Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

ENROLLMENT
  1. To enroll in the Program, visit worldfuelrewards.com and click on the Enroll link.
  2. To award points, a fixed-based operator or other merchant providing aviation-related goods and/or services must enroll in the program as a Participating Location (“Participating Location “) Points for transactions and additional points (“Points”) are assigned to World Fuel Rewards members through the Award Points link located at worldfuelrewards.com.
  3. Participating Locations must provide a valid email address to receive program communications, including the monthly account statement notifications from Program Headquarters.
  4. Participating Locations are required to provide World Fuel current banking or credit card information, including providing new information within 30 days of any expiration or change in such information.
  5. Participating Locations can change their address and other contact information by logging in to their account at worldfuelrewards.com or by emailing info@worldfuelrewards.com.
ISSUANCE OF PROGRAM POINTS/MEMBER BENEFITS
  1. Participating Location is responsible for payment of any Points issued by the Participating Location through the Award Points link to members and this fee is payable to World Fuel at $0.02 per point. World Fuel is not responsible for payment of any points issued in error by the Participating Location.
  2. Automatic points issued by World Fuel for World Fuel Contract, World Fuel Trip Support and AVCARD® by World Fuel transactions are the responsibility of World Fuel and Participating Locations will not be charged a per point fee.
  3. Only World Fuel’s records will be used to determine a Participating Location’s status including the number of points issued for which the Participating Location is responsible and membership status. If a Participating Location believes that Points have not been properly invoiced or credited to a member account, they are required to submit documentation or other proof satisfactory to Program Headquarters (“Headquarters”), which may include copies of fuel transaction receipts or purchase documentation. Any claim for inaccurate invoices or uncredited Points must be received by Headquarters within six (6) months after the date any Qualifying Fuel Purchase was made, whether the Participating Location received or viewed their monthly Program statement.
  4. Each Participating Location will be responsible for remaining knowledgeable about its account information and the Program Rules. Information regarding the status of a Participating Location account will be communicated in monthly account statements and can also be obtained by email to info@worldfuelrewards.com. Monthly account statements will only be sent via email. Participating Locations who do not have an email address on record will not receive monthly account statements notifications. It is the responsibility of each Participating Location to monitor their Points.
  5. World Fuel will automatically award World Fuel aviation customers that are Members and associated with a corporate account one (1) Point for each gallon of World Fuel Contract Fuel; one (1) Point for every $1.00 USD spent for World Fuel Trip Support; one (1) Point for every $10.00 USD spent at locations accepting AVCARD® by World Fuel. Eligible locations are determined at the sole discretion of World Fuel. Points can also be awarded by Participating Locations at the sole discretion of the Participating Location. Points are considered earned on the date the Member completes a fuel transaction or purchase and will be credited to a Member’s account within 48 hours of a completed purchase. World Fuel is not responsible for processing or point deposit delays. Points awarded are always processed in USD and USG. World Fuel reserve the right to modify how points are awarded at any time.
  6. Members without World Fuel accounts are only eligible to receive points awarded by Participating Location at the sole discretion of the Participating Location. Points are considered earned on the date awarded by the Participating Location and will be credited to Member’s account within 48 hours.
  7. Points will not be awarded on refunded or fraudulently obtained fuel purchase transactions. Points can only be accumulated on fuel purchased through World Fuel Contract by the Member or through dollars spent on the Member’s AVCARD® by World Fuel or for World Fuel Trip Support services at eligible locations or as awarded by Participating Locations. No Points will be awarded on purchases paid for by a non-member who uses a Member’s ID card to swipe a transaction. World Fuel reserves the right to refuse to award Points, for fuel purchased for commercial-type aircraft or for fuel purchased by fractionals (i.e., FAR Part 91 Subpart K).
  8. World Fuel has the right to change participating obligation like point issuance requirement and minimum point purchase to remain active.
  9. World Fuel may prohibit or delete Participating Location bonus offers and related images at worldfuelrewards.com.
  10. Participating Locations can choose to discontinue participation at any time by contacting Program Headquarters but will be liable for any outstanding balance.
  11. Participating Locations are responsible for paying for all points they award to Members, even if issued in error.
MEMBER POINT EXPIRATION/LOSS
  1. Member Points expire 24 months after the date they are earned. Points are earned on the date each qualifying fuel transaction is made.
  2. Awards expire according to the rules of the individual merchant. It is the responsibility of the Member to remain knowledgeable regarding award expiration dates once received.
  3. Lost or stolen rewards will not be reissued.
  4. Member accounts that have not had any Point or Award activity for four (4) years will be closed.
FBO LOCATION POINT BANKS (NON AIR ELITE NETWORK)
  1. FBOs must purchase a minimum of 5,000 Points in 12 months to participate in the Program. If no points are purchased in 12 months, the FBO is charged for the outstanding points which are then added to their FBO Point Bank (as defined below).
  2. FBOs meeting the purchase requirement minimum of 5,000 Points in 12 months will be given a bank of points (“FBO Point Bank”) paid for by World Fuel based on the following criteria:
    1. 1 Point per 2 USG of World Fuel Contract
    2. 1 Point per $20 USD AVCARD® by World Fuel transactions
    3. 1 Point per 50 USG Bulk fuel purchased
  1. Points included in an FBO Point Bank are available for FBO to issue to Members at their sole discretion.
  2. FBO purchased Points expire 12 months from the date they are added to the FBO Point Bank.
  3. World Fuel points that World Fuel pays into an FBO Point expire six (6) months from the date they are added to the FBO Point Bank but may be extended at World Fuel discretion.
  4. Participating Location accounts that have not had any Point or Award activity for four (4) years will be closed.
  5. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, World Fuel can extend or shorten the period that FBO Point Banks are available.
AIR ELITE NETWORK LOCATION POINT BANKS
  1. Air Elite FBOs must purchase a minimum of 25,000 Points in 12 months to participate in the Program in accordance with the Air Elite Agreement. If no points are purchased in 12 months, the FBO is charged for the outstanding points which are then added to their FBO Point Bank.
  2. FBOs meeting the purchase requirement minimum of 25,000 Points in 12 months will be given a bank of points paid for by World Fuel based on the following criteria:
    1. 1 Point per 1 USG of World Fuel Contract
    2. 1 Point per $10 USD AVCARD® by World Fuel transactions
    3. 1 Point per 50 USG Bulk fuel purchased
  3. Points included in an FBO Point Bank are available for FBO to issue to Members at their sole discretion.
  4. FBO purchased Points expire 12 months from the date they are added to the FBO Point Bank.
  5. World Fuel points that World Fuel pays into an FBO Point expire six (6) months from the date they are added to the FBO Point Bank but may be extended at World Fuel discretion.
  6. Participating Location accounts that have not had any Point or Award activity for four (4) years will be closed.
  7. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, World Fuel can extend or shorten the period that FBO Point Banks are available.
LIMITATION OF REMEDIES

If World Fuel improperly assesses fees to a Participating Location for any Points or some other feature of the Program, the Participating Location’s exclusive remedy shall be a correction to the fees charged or such other alternative benefit as determined by World Fuel. Other than making such benefit available, World Fuel shall have no additional liability whatsoever to a Participating Location or anyone claiming through a Participating Location or on a Participating Location’s. In no event shall World Fuel be liable to any Participating Location or anyone claiming through a Participating Location or on a Participating Location behalf for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages or lost revenue or profits, arising out of World Fuel’s acts or omissions in connection with the Program.

ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS

World Fuel may, among other things, (i) cancel, terminate, revoke, suspend or modify any Program Rules for Point levels, awards, conditions of participation or any other terms and conditions including but not limited to the Program rules and all requirements for Awards with no notice and at any time or (ii) terminate the Program in its entirety with 60 days prior written notice to a Member. Therefore, under either circumstance, Participating Location may not rely upon the continued availability of any Program feature.

  1. Fraud, misrepresentation, abuse or violation of applicable rules may result in administrative and/or legal action by appropriate governmental authorities and/or World Fuel. Such action may include, without limitation, the forfeiture of all Awards and any accumulated Points in a Member’s account, as well as cancellation of the account and the Member’s future participation in the Program. In addition, World Fuel reserves the right to take appropriate legal action to recover damages, including attorneys’ fees, incurred in prosecuting any lawsuit.
  2. World Fuel reserve the right to audit any and all Participating Location accounts at any time for compliance with the Program rules, without notice to the Participating Location. In the event the audit reveals discrepancies or possible violations of the terms and conditions, the processing of Award redemption requests may be delayed pending completion of the audit.
  3. World Fuel shall attempt to advise active Participating Location of various matters of interest through its website and/or through email, but World Fuel shall have no responsibility to do so.
  4. World Fuel shall have no liability for correspondence, mail, or email, which is lost, delayed, or misdirected.
  5. World Fuel shall not be liable for a lost or stolen password, email address, Awards or Participating Location account number.
  6. All Program rules may be modified from time to time, are subject to interpretation by World Fuel.
  7. Awards, Points and any special offers to Members are subject to applicable government regulations and are void where prohibited by law.
  8. Participation in the World Fuel Rewards Program is void where prohibited by law. Other restrictions may apply.
